Current // Arc I // Prologue

~~ Here's a separator for when the new pages kick in! ~~
~~Oldness below.~~

Page 0083 ~ February 19th, 2006
And so their little spy runs out~ significant? Probably! But not for a while. And thus ends this arc, damn finally!
The original of this page was SO BAD that I redrew it...and I redid it faster than the original and it looked better. Woo. Stuff's probably messed up and I don't care! I finished the Arc!!! As of right now, some things need bettering - I may shade it later on.
The guy who just ran out, Nack... He wears a jacket that he drapes over his shoulders without his arms in the sleeves, so if that last panel looks odd, that's why. I had trouble coming up with an angle for it... and drawing running from the back, while a (almost too long) jacket flaps and most of the guy is not seen one way or the other. Oog.

Page 0082 ~ February 19th, 2006
So, just how special is Sarn to Elda? I'm not quite sure.
I wanted to make this page stand out in the scene, since this scene needs one special page anyway, thus the shading. I do enjoy shading my pages sometimes, but it just takes so much time. One day Millennium might be fully shaded/color... But not anytime soon, lol. Wish I could do this every page though.
Random: I noticed these pages are a LOT lighter on mac displays. It might just be mostly my horribly bright mac laptop display, but the past few look darn near black on my PC (as intended) and regular-lighting bright on my laptop. Guh.

Page 0081 ~ February 12th, 2006
So, this is basically: "Waaah, Elda, let MEEE kill them." "Wait your turn." "*POUT*" "What's eating you?" "Iwannadoiiiit" *long drawn out whine*
I had fun with this page, though I had issues hopping between Painter and Photoshop. *hiissss Painter* Anyway, this and the next page are some of my favorites since, uh, pages 74 and 76 lol. But all were drawn at very different times. I actually like this page better in color, hmm. I think the next time I do a Syndicate scene, though, it won't be so dark. The room's windowless and devoid of light save for those flaming pillars, but I'll lighten it for all our sakes.
I started my newer method of paneling here, so my paneling should be less generic/crappy from here on. Although this came out a bit awkward. Hmm, and what else... Oh, Sarn is actually a self-obsessed bastard, can you tell?

Page 0080 ~ February 8th, 2006
So they are dismissed. But Sarn's a bit concerned, and someone's quite nosy.
Whee. There are inconsistencies here, but I'm learning. This is the first page I've lined in Painter since 29. I've learned from my mistakes, and I can do even better now. Heck, I can do better than this page - just getting my feet wet. Anyway, I'm sure that gesture in the first page has been done, but I seriously couldn't think of anything else that wasn't rediculous. And I'm sure the fourth panel is insanely wrong - I need to study interiors. Besides all that, I like this page.

Page 0079 ~ February 5th, 2006
Hmm. Not sure what to say~ half cat dude in the last panel (not the dog) looks weird, and I wasn't sure how to fix it. x_x But overall, I like this page. I think maybe I should have focused on some people in the back row for that second panel. Oh well, something else to keep in mind.
Oh yeah, last panel = very lazy background, but the focus was supposed to be on the FG anyway. Probably should have just left it faded out like the second panel. Ah, and the third panel. I attempt perspective with nondescript cloaked forms!

Page 0078 ~ February 1st, 2006
I actually drew this page back in, oh, October. It took a whole lot of fixing up, guides, drawovers, etc. Would have been a lot worse, yes. The hellish part was getting the eyes to look forward but making them look less like zombies. They're supposed to be at attention, focused. The only one I don't dislike is Tzaro (far left front), whose eyes I believe I drew too big anyway. It was hard, even now - though if I'd completely redrawn it it probably wouldn't have been as bad.
My favorite one of these guys is Chadner (second front from left). I believe that in the group he's the only full-blooded Human. He's completely obscuring the person behind him, as is Daru (far right front). Hehehe...() In case you're wondering, left-to-right back-to-front: 1/2 Canan, partial-weasel, ???, partial-elf, 1/2 wolf-fox, Kaaman, Human, Canan, 1/2 Fenin, 1/2 Bremen (eagle). Make sense? No clue what the center-back guy's race is...
There's actually an inconsistency in the second panel. Elda's supposed to be facing away. It kind of makes the third panel a little useless now, but ah. One day I'll end up redoing all this, and I'll keep that in mind.

Page 0077 ~ December 31st, 2005
Back away from RPGishness... or maybe it's a cutscene. So it's not as cool as I envisioned, but still decent. Hmm...not much to say. :x

Page 0076 ~ December 19th, 2005
Back to RPGishness! :D
Body proportion and anatomy issues, whee. But again, it's old. I like it, anyway - and the third and fourth panels are some of my total faves. And, tell the truth, I don't really dislike the last panel.

Page 0075 ~ December 19th, 2005
Sabér's big decision - he's got nowhere else to go, no one else to turn to, and no reason not to trust them.
I obviously have issues with landscapes and horses, lol. The fact that I have to draw them over and over will force me to improve! I also have issues having to draw human-shaped beings walking like monkeys - it's a lot harder than it looks. I think I did good fixing up the bodies for how OLD this page is. (I hated it before. It's decent now.)

Page 0074 ~ December 14th, 2005
I like this page for CHIBI! Also, Ronou's expressions. I love drawing his expressions, and I do believe I love them in every panel. In the 5th panel ("Well anyway" - yeah, the paneling looks sorta weird now), he really looks close to how I should always draw him. *notes* Yes, I'm still learning to draw my characters. (Ha, he also looks like he's giving the peace sign... No, it's "two" for "twice".) Panel 4 is a lazy panel, but you can just feel Sabér's emo wangst.
Laugh at the background-impaired!

Page 0073 ~ December 14th, 2005
I like this page. I envisioned this long ago. Came out well, and for how long ago I drew it, I fixed it up nicely I think. Mune is still angry, yes.
I just wish I could draw backgrounds.

Page 0072 ~ December 8th, 2005
Yay! The open, again. Seldra's filled with wide open fields, which I apparently can't draw. (Help?) Of course, Mune reserves the right to chastize Ronou. I missed drawing chibis so much. (I should have done a chibi Sekkin...haha.)
Ronou and Mune fixing up their hair is a bit awkward. But, it looked horribly worse when I originally drew it (which was ~2 months ago). I sketched a lot of the following pages (up to page 78, about) from 1-2 months ago, so if they look bad, that's why. I've had success in fixing some of them up, though.
Oh yeah, from here on out, drawn bubbles. I wasn't fond of the computer-done ones. I can actually draw them now (as opposed to the first pages, which is just overall "ew" now).

Page 0071 ~ December 8th, 2005
A transitional page. Another one of my very favorites. They're running through the forest. There're different parts of it that you didn't see before: the bamboo area, the mushroom area. There's also a highly floral area and a regular area (through which they entered). And ah, the light at the end... This scene has ended after over a year!!

Page 0070 ~ December 6th, 2005
So Mune, Ronou, and White Lightning get the hell on. The Boomen are kinda shocked Sekkin let them go (especially Riko, black-haired one). Frankly, Sekkin's sick of them.

Page 0069 ~ November 24th, 2005
So, it's come to this. "Leave right now or we're all going to kill you." The Boomen are still rallied behind Sekkin, and things are settling down. Sabér's little brother (who started all this) doesn't know what to think. Who's the menace here? So, I shaded this to add to the drama. Sab's scar isn't visible in the last panel...>> Oh well.

Page 0068 ~ November 24th, 2005
This is one of my favorite pages overall in a while. I love how the second panel came out, although the big ol' Sabér really irks me now. But what can I say, I really like this. It's a big event for Sabér...

Page 0067 ~ November 24th, 2005
Sekkin just won't quit, but now he has to. Bitten by the highly burning-poisonous boa... Its effects will kick in soon! The top panel, again, one of my faves.

Page 0066 ~ November 24th, 2005
I don't remember precisely when I finished this page, as well as the next three. But anyway. Sekkin gets PWNED. I had to say it. Sabér's moving fast and beating him all over... You will never see an old man get beaten so relentlessly (with reason) anywhere else. Mune came out weird in that last panel; she's looking for the last of the boas, and Ronou isn't really paying attention to her. The SHOOM panel is one of my faves.

Page 0065 ~ September 10th, 2005
Oh man...sooo much to say about this page. Well, for starters: There's a lot going on while Sabér and Sekkin fight. Mune and Ronou are warding off the last of the boas. The boas are retreating from their boa-bashing prowess! Yay! And the group of Boomen (and notably Seiyun, who's luckily been safe), is watching. ANYWAY the middle panel is what I've been waiting to draw since I wrote this scene originally about a year ago... The show of fangs (which I needed reference for - when real baboons do it, it's awesome), the screech. And then Sab swipes and pwns Sekkin. And I made up a sound effect. Anyway, obviously I shaded the middle panel for dramatic effect. I didn't want to leave it colored, though. Should have experimented, but that's for another time. Anyway...yay!

Page 0064 ~ September 4th, 2005
Super spin-kick! For not having a reference, I say the first panel is pretty good. Still pretty wonky, though. And there are things wrong with the last panel, but ignore them :D! Anyway, Sab kicks away Sekkin's spear! Immediately Sekkin whips out the ol' claws and slashes Sab. And hisses. Meanwhile, the Boomen are settling down and tending to their wounded friends, and the boas are slowly retreating...

Page 0063 ~ August 29th, 2005
Drawing hands is hard.
Drawing hands holding thin objects is harder.
Drawing hands on two left-handed people is TERRIBLY hard.
I'm struggling with these pages - but I consider that a good thing. It's refining me and my style. I'm drawing new things, new poses, new actions, and it's good. One day, it will all even out - and Millennium will be at its best!
ANYWAY, realizing he missed Sekkin (though he wasn't aiming to kill), Sabér already started moving back from him, but too slowly - Sekkin turns and slashes him, barely missing the opportunity to slice off Sabér's top half. And then he goes for him again, bringing the spear back around in bad-perspective glory!

Page 0062 ~ August 22nd, 2005
You might have noticed Sab's cape was gone. (For that matter, his wrist things I used to draw on him are gone... I'll remedy this later. @_@ Somehow. *has ways*) Well, that's where it went - torn off him in the fray. He grabs it and its other end snags on the rock, so he tries to trip up Sekkin with it. Sekkin slashes through it, though. But Sab takes that moment to grab his spear (which he dropped) and LUNGE at Sekkin...
I feel I must explain, because I'm drawing this fight in such a way so it won't come out to be 20 pages. @_@ Though that would be easier on me, but too long still...
Oh, Sab's arm looks HORRIBLE in the last panel. Ignore it. ;___;

Page 0061 ~ August 21st, 2005
HAY! ...When did Millennium get so violent?? It would have been less violent here, but mmm...physics. I was trying out new paneling and lineart (kinda) and it's making the pages look GOOD. I'm happy.
This is my first time starting a decent fight sequence so it might be confusing. Lessee... Sab turns after Sekkin's swipe misses, and in the last panel Sekkin's sort of in the process of pulling his arm back for another swing while Sab is moving back.

Page 0060 ~ August 14th, 2005
So, the paneling on this page is weird. No, I'll never do paneling this weird again. It's still workable, anyway. I'm getting better.
I used a reference to draw WL this time instead of totally BSing horse anatomy. Some things are still off, but it's better than before. <3 But anyway, yeah. Boa-bashing, and WL comes just in time to help.

Page 0059 ~ August 6th, 2005
Whee stuff! Uh... dunno what to say here. Experimenting with paneling. Sabér still changes every time I draw his profile. :(

Page 0058 ~ August 2nd, 2005
I like this page. The backgrounds are totally BSed (but then, when don't I?), but the figures look really good. Spiky-hair Booman dude is hot. Poor Mido... and, Sab's droopy loin cloth. Ronou and Mune are leaping/leaning in to grab Sab really quick ('cause Mido is falling towards him), and it's not really well-drawn as it could be but still gets the message across (hopefully). It's a little confusing.

Page 0057 ~ July 24th, 2005
:O Playing with layout. I like this page. Boooas! Lack of ugly Sekkin. (The last page was FULL of him!) Sab is sad. :(
I tried a new hair technique in this page. It's a bit more of a hassle, but also looks better. Not too big a change but effective nonetheless.

Page 0056 ~ July 21st, 2005
This page portrays lots of ACTION! Sekkin pwns Mido back and pins him against a tree. Sekkin is pissed. But a snake pops out! Oh noes!
I don't dislike this page as much as I thought I did! I've been very judgemental of myself as far as Mil goes, lately. That's why it's been slow. But I really do like this.
By the way, that note below panel 4 is all Yasha's fault. @___@

Filler #003 ~ July 9th, 2005
Surprised I haven't had even more filler by now? So am I! But this is pretty straightforward. If that's the word. Yay, Sabér.

Page 0055 ~ June 29th, 2005
Just so you know, Mido = guy who just pwned Sekkin. Yay lack of pronouns!
I like this page a lot. Mune's not as poopy in it. I have space-use issues though. And I wish I could like...animate Mune's healing spell. It's a simple one, but blah. But Sabér lives. Yay! Throw pasta-confetti. I actually didn't like that first Sab panel until I beefed it up a little.

Pahe 0054 ~ June 27th, 2005
Go Booman kid go!!
Another assembled page. There are a bunch of tiny things I beat myself up about on this page. I won't go into them. Sekkin is ugly, but it's the right kind of ugly. The intentional kind. I think I draw his hair different every page. Possibly every panel. I've also been drawing Mune very strangely. I dunno why. Maybe I used up all her coolness on pages 49-51. Oh yeah, I REALLY was proud of Boo-kid's pose there. So much that I'm putting the sketch in the dev section oneday.

Page 0053 ~ June 22nd, 2005
Sekkin walks back towards them, grabs the spear from the ground, and WOOSH! What happens next?!
I had a lot of issues with this page overall. Sort of complex. Panel 1 came out okay, though. Panel 2 gave me issues, because Sekkin, like Sabér, is left-handed, and I somehow naturally draw people right-handed. Somehow. It's still weird. Positioning in the third panel was weird. Technically Ronou's supposed to be higher than Mune. So he's bending over or something, okay? the 4th panel Boomen amuse me. One of them has eyes kind of like Wario. I think the last panel makes up for everything I may dislike about this page, though. <3 And text warp? Fun. And can you tell I like doing the spear-panel-border thing?

Page 0052 ~ June 10th, 2005
I liked this better as lineart alone, but it's still not bad. No, I didn't tone it like I said... but I will tone a page someday. Maybe that will become the style. Who knows, the comic will change a lot.
Mune looks so strange in this page. @_@ And I'm picky about so many little things but it is a complex page. Panel 5 is just blah. But oh well. I like Sabér. Feel sorry for Sabér.

Page 0051 ~ June 2nd, 2005
Times like this I'm glad my comic is generally grey. This page looked so ugly in color, save Mune's panel. Well, the last one wasn't too bad either... But, anyway, it was fun to do. Just ignore the unused space in the first two panels and we're good.
Since I've decided this is a quite more effort-worthy comic than it used to be (not that I regret its opening <3), I might start tone shading one day. I've practiced digital toning a little in a page I made for Yasha, and I must say, it's fun and not quite as hard as regular cel shading. It'd be another step in making this comic a little more manga-like.

Page 0050 ~ May 14th, 2005
Yay, 50 pages. It only took a year and a half! Most of which was hiatus. Anyway, not much to say here. Whee, color. And two obviously reused panels from the previous page. If I never mentioned it, I color all my pages and then convert them to greyscale usually... Gotta be precise. But yeah, finally, you get to see someone being a Mage. Hee...I probably should have made Mune's dress slit lower, but oh well. Not like you of the male population will ever get any more "fanservice" than this.
On a random note, I really like my hands lately. They're coming out nicely. o/`

Page 0049 ~ May 9th, 2005
Not much to say about this page, actually. Ronou looks so funny in the third panel though. And Mune's majik Water wand...it came out of NOWHAR!
Oh yeah, I should probably mention that that pond is actually large. The trees and their weird roots are actually very huge. And the grass is tall. Mmmm, panned-out views.

Page 0048 ~ May 6th, 2005
The page was really ugly before I CGed it. Of course, it's because I'd advanced over a month of non-comic-drawing, but now it looks okay. Looks a lot more dramatic in B&W, too. <3 Anyway, the crowd shifts and gasps and omgs before their leader sics them on poor, poor Sabér. And Ronou and Mune look on helplessly. (Hey! Remember them?)

Page 0047 ~ March 20th, 2005
Actually, I dunno what to say. Uh... In the second panel, they kinda...knocked each other back dramatically and skidded to a stop. The silhouettes are weird because of clothing. (Yes, I fell back on the "dramatic silhouette" thing again... I won't do it again, I swear. >.<) Anyway...I did some different things with perspective this time. But yeah. SLASH'D!

Page 0046 ~ February 28th, 2005
Suddenly, another Booman (whose name is Mido, note!) leaps out of the brush and tries to help Sabér by tackling Sekkin! But he's knocked back into the bushes and gets stuck. Tough luck...
Oh man... the more I like my pages, the more I want to nitpick at them. But I'm not going to... because I'm sleepy. z_z I really, REALLY liked how it looked at lineart stage so much that I left it colored and shaded it. <3 I NEED to start doing bakgrounds more. They help like whoa.

Oh, and yes, Sabér and Sekkin are BOTH left-handed. And it's a hassle to remember such.

Page 0045 ~ February 20th, 2005
One of my favorite pages in a while...although I've liked most of my pages since I started coloring. Action, whoa! I really like how that came out...although it's mostly zomg drama. Note that those CLANGS are caused when they horizontally swipe their weapons. :B And Ronou and Mune fell back into the crowd... yeah, they've moved a lot during the previous dialogue, and now.
The third panel got kind of confusing... I got this overlappy thing going on (they aren't really that close... a sort of...put-together collage panel, if you will) that I could have done better but...x_x buh. And for the start of a fight, this is kinda lame after the first panel, but the next page will be a LOT more interesting, I guarantee.

Page 0044 ~ February 14th, 2005
Soooo many Booman noses.
...There're a LOT of little things in this page that could have come out a LOT better, and the first panel was originally gonna be all cool-perspectivey, but you know what? I still like how this page came out. ^^
The middle three panels can be read in any order, since technically they're all happening at the same time. Sekkin lunges for Ronou again, but Sabér blocks. Seiyun and random Boomen look on, including two Boomen I should have introduced a little sooner. And then... is Sab's fate sealed?!
Fun fact: Sekkin was actually supposed to say "THEY MUST DIE!!" on this page, but I kinda forked that up without thinking. So you get random scream! :D Yay!

Page 0043 ~ February 6th, 2005
...I used a tone! ZOMG! And angles! And speed lines! However, I still don't like the last two panels as much (although the tone made panel 5 look better). There's messed-up perspective on Sekkin's blade...I REALLY have to practice that. But yeah, I like panels 3 and 4. <3

Page 0042 ~ January 30th, 2005
I love how this page came out... because I hated it in sketch form. <3 But man Sekkin is ugly. And it just increases with every page.

Page 0041 ~ January 23rd, 2005
Forth from the trees and brush, Sabér leaps forth and, with a horizontal swing, blocks Sekkin's attack, landing right next to Ronou.
I've been consistent with updates, but I haven't been consistent with style. Sorry people! I'm working with things. From here on out, it'll be pretty consistent/improving. But I HAD to color this page, 'cause yeah.
In the last panel, I realize Ronou's head is very out of proportion to Sabér's, and there's a possibility that he could be a tad too short (although he is short and Sab is tall)... BUT. He is...pseudo-chibi...kindasorta...yeah. So there!! He's faded back, anyway. Wanted the focus to be on Sabér (who, by the way, I drew a total of 5 times @_@ good lord that shot was hard).
In case you haven't read Sab's profile page (which has been up for a while), he's left-handed, by the way.

Page 0040 ~ January 16th, 2005
Not MUCH to say, really. I like this page. I guess I dislike Mune the most, but I dunno why. Poor Mune. But I really like the second panel. And well, the last 2...Where Sekkin's old ugliness doesn't cause my head to hurt! But yeah. *hugs Ronou*
Oh yeah. Sekkin's pointing the spear at Ronou, and then reeling back and moving to stab him. Random Boomen are pointing their pointy things at Mune. Don't ask, it's the way I always saw it.
The next page is going to be good.

Page 0039 ~ January 9th, 2005
No shading for you. But flat color looks a lot better with Photoshop lineart. And I redid the way I do bubbles. Anyway, time to be picky. These pages bore me. I can't wait for action...Although THAT will take forever... And I've never drawn action scenes before. Err... The best thing about this page is Ronou's expression. Gah. I remember back when I couldn't draw expressions right. This is so fun. Second panel probably could have been gradient'd more. Notice how much I like gradients? There's going to be more actual background later. (I have something else to say on this...) Mune's hands look funny, I know. And I'm so glad the pose in panel 5 actually came out decent with only the aid of my mind. I hope in this and the next pages you can tell exactly how he's moving though. (It's miraculously hard to do things right with left-handed characters. It's strange.)
In regards to backgrounds, or more correctly setting: I realize Mune, Ronou, and Seiyun were within the walkway prior to the Booman horde's arrival... And they couldn't have been surrounded by them there because of the bar things. Well, let's just say they [the party] moved out of that area really quickly as they heard the Boomen coming. And THEN they were hopelessly surrounded. Make sense? Care? I had to mention it eventually.

Page 0038 ~ January 3rd, 2005
Okay. This isn't grey because it looked worse in grey. The first panel is supposed to be a sort of above-view silhouette silhouette of the scene from 037. 037 was originally going to be an above-view, but... I realized I couldn't draw them. Which is why the first panel here looks really, really strange. Something's positionally wrong with Sekkin and the Boomen in panel 2, but I don't care because that right Booman is hot. I really hate Sekkin's hair, and I had to draw his big ugly head/face four times, and will continue to through the next few pages/rest of the arc. :( Yes Seiyun can sit like that. I hate Mune in the 4th/whateverth panel but she never came out right. I think the only things I truly like in this page are the last two panels, although, as I said before, Sekkin is ugly.
I have no clue if I'll do the other pages shaded/colored like this. Don't get your hopes up. O_O Oh yeah, this was my first page lined in Photoshop instead of Painter. Much more fun.

Page 0037 ~ December 9th, 2004
I really don't like the first two panels, but you know, I love the bottom, so yeah. It took a very long time to do but it was worth it. I got lazy with the Boomen facing you, but I don't think it takes away from the whole thing...and I enjoyed making greys fade. Doing each of the Boomen individually gave them personality, and I had fun with that, too. <3

F#002 ~ November 28th, 2004
Er...I don't even need to say anything about this. Mmm, gag.

Page 0036 ~ November 26th, 2004
I'll say this now--I worked long and hard on this, and unlike its appearance, it was actually very fun. Tried things I hadn't before (in the comic)... If I used dark/light shading I could have made this even more dramatic. Buuut I decided not to. Don't wanna be too complicated, now. How I'd originally imagined the panel of rushing Boomen was slightly different, as well as the first panel... But I think those would have been too complex as well. My background silhouettes sure are strange though. And it's very hard to draw human shapes walking like apes. :( Let's see, what else... Oh yeah, that third panel's a shot of the forest as a whole... And on a final note, I LOVE that panel with Ronou's face. I don't know why. Eeee.

Page 0035 ~ November 21st, 2004
:O The first comic in which I repeat a panel. Literally. It was gonna be slightly better, buuut the whole thing came out much better than I thought it would. There're actually a few things I almost screwed up and a few I forgot, but only small things. The last two panels amuse me so. And I don't care what anyone says, I love the Booman's hand in the third.

Page 0034 ~ November 19th, 2004
I actually don't have much to say about this... because I like it! The last panel's kind of plain but I make up for it in 035. Looks like Ronou just won't listen... Think he'll get bitten?

Page 0033 ~ November 12th, 2004
Little Booman comes out of nowhere.
This was a very annoying page to do. Lots of color. The little Booman's expression amuses me, though. I had a few small bugs but hopefully you won't take note of them. :D By the way, you don't know how annoying that fencelike thing is.

Page 0032 ~ November 5th, 2004
This is basically a repeat of my update: I don't like this page anymore. I improved a ton in the lineart, but I really hate the first two panels. That one Mune panel, though... That's the best part. Anyway, this page was gonna turn out a lot different, especially that one large panel, but it didn't. D:

Page 0031 ~ October 21st, 2004
Okay, I pumped all my CGing knowledge into this page. And that's all it was for. I really think I could have drawn the village BETTER--curses, spatial depth--but I am happy with it. Especially the color and the lighting despite the fact I got sick of coloring it after a couple hours on my last day of effort. XD Uh... random things: Mune likes shiny plants. Kinda avoids the scary-looking pitcher plant though.

Page 0030 ~ October 12th, 2004
I like how all the expressions came out here...And do you like my random forest panorama? Aha, I'm so cheap. But anyway, that and my next two pages are going to make up very much for my recent complete lack of background. ^_~

Page 0029 ~ October 10th, 2004
No matter how stupid this is, it will always amuse me. To be picky, I hate how I can never get female profiles to look correct, but I'm trying. I also really hate how Ronou's arms look in panels 2 and 3; I should have gotten a model or something. @_x

Page 0028 ~ October 7th, 2004
I actually haven't much to say about this page. I like how it came out... Ronou's expression in panel 4 amuses me, but it looked a little better in sketch. And if I hadn't mentioned it before, I do draw roots like that purposely, kthx.

Page 0027 ~ October 1st, 2004
In truth, I think I could have put this scene and the next few pages before the last scene, but it works either way. Ronou's got a motive! A senseless one, but a motive nonetheless. Not much to say really.

Page 0026 ~ September 24th, 2005
This page took a while, but, unlike most of my pages, I am very proud of it. <3 Very.

Page 0025 ~ September 16th, 2004
The Booman village leader shows up when a commotion over the strange beast occurs. Apparently, no Booman has ever seen a horse before, but maybe they'll learn something.
And that one Booman is female. >>
About the "bonus"...well, that other Booman wonders if White Lightning is a...squirrel...so...

Page 0024 ~ September 11th, 2004
White Lightning is indeed intelligent... And lost. But he is found...by Boomen! Aren't they cuuute dirty little things?

Page 0023 ~ September 6th, 2004
And they are alone again...
I'd originally intended to integrate this with the previous comic, but having no room to and discovering that I might have forgotten something, I made it its own page. I could have greyed this much better...maybe. But I didn't.

Page 0022 ~ August 27th, 2004
Oh no, he's leaving! Guess he can't stand to look at them for too long...
I think Ronou looks really funny in the chibi box thing. And... panel 3...well, it didn't look right empty. Maybe I should have toned it.

Page 0021 ~ August 21st, 2004
Ronou's captivated by the deep golden eyes. You should be, too.
He's also not very good at half-lying.
I liked the sketch of this better. And behold, random boxes and lines! That space...had to be filled.

Page 0020 ~ August 15th, 2004
The mysterious Booman reclaims his pike. This didn't come out as well as I imagined it--not nearly as well. But the last panel makes up for all.

Page 0019 ~ August 11th, 2004
He landed right between Ronou's legs... what a position to be in.

Lots of white...because I used my panels very...oddly. I don't like this page very much. No background--like the next one. I got very lazy. Drawing those trees was a bitch. You'll see me be lazier later on, too.

Page 0018 ~ August 8th, 2004
The snake fell, slain--and its slayer appears, right before Ronou's face!
Getting all the positioning for the pages after this correct was confusing, and sometimes it makes no sense. But you wouldn't notice, so. :D;

Page 0017 ~ August 4th, 2004
Ronou feels the snake's presence suddenly and turns. Mune notices and screams--the snake reels--Ronou falls backwards, knocking Mune down with him, and White Lightning flees; and as the snake is about to strike--THOK!
Getting this right was very, very hard, but I like the outcome. Except the snake looks slightly more dinosauric here, but that's all right--it's dino-sized.
And, oh--did I use perspective?!

Page 0016 ~ August 1st, 2004
Ronou helps Mune off their horse, and Ronou's words overshadow his application...
I added way too many lines to the trees in these pages, but I liked them nonetheless.

Page 0015 ~ July 29th, 2004
This was a fun page to do. <3 Mmm, lens flare...
By the way. I realize for a while I made the trees way too detailed (or the characters not as stand-outish) but I fix that later. Also, the roots' lines are supposed to go horizontally...in this world.

Page 0014 ~ July 25th, 2004
This was an amusing comic to make. To me, at least. Ronou always gets his way...
That's the last you see of this font. I kept finding better.
Silhouettes are fun.

Page 0013 ~ July 21st, 2004
Decisions, decisions... Ronou does make a good point, though.
I always liked Ronou's expression in the first panel...and the third one, can you tell it's perspective-y? Like, looking down into a deep cave and...yeah.

Page 0012 ~ July 16th, 2004
A sudden change of plans is in order! A twelve-meter crevasse... And yes, I did have excuses for the crappiness of the first panel.
About the bonuses... The first is sort of confusing. Between comic #010 and #011, the three look down in their hovering position, Mune spazzes and latches to Ronou, causing them to fall off of White Lightning, but they scramble back up to him and re-latch to him before he starts falling, too. ...Cartoon physics, yay!
About the second one...Well, Ronou loses his shoe in page #011.

Page 0011 ~ July 12th, 2004
This was fun to do, despite it not coming out cool and perspective-y like I thought it would.

Page 0010 ~ July 7th, 2004
You know what they say... ask and it will be given to you. Or something.
The first three panels looked better in sketch. In fact, the entire thing did...

Page 0009 ~ June 30th, 2004
My first new-tablet page! I tried a lot of new things with it. Boxes, perspective...
Aaand Ronou's hair always gets in the way. Cover 01 ~ March 27th, 2005
Done sometime in the middle of this Arc. This Arc is all about a certain Booman, one especially in tune with the Earth and longing for equality.
