Page Notes
Current // Arc I // Prologue
The prologue, remastered.
2.18.08 ~ 00-02
The continued effects of the Mysterious Wind. It even works in caves! Everyone seems to be okay with becoming animal halves. I wouldn't mind having a giant reptile for a husband, myself!
This was my first experiment with textured BGs/FGs. It also took me a while to get this one out (apart from college) because I had to decide on something stylistically. What I've decided on isn't fast, but it's quality, and it works - which excites me. See, I decided that since I can draw well, I'm not going to let this comic look like crap (despite an awkward sort of error in the last panel - pretend it's not there >_>). A lot of people can do a lot better than they do when it comes to webcomics (even if it is their hobby/free). I want to put my all into it, since I love this story! Lively characters, varied colors. That's me!
Why's everyone got red hair? Well, because I felt like it, okay?!
1.2.08 ~ 00-01
Yes, I did draw that background three times. The center was pretty detailed, only to be obscured by mysterious wind.
You can expect Millennium to be this quality (or higher, since this can be a lot better - yet simpler, because this took me way too long) from here on out.
What happened to Mr. Anonymous Fisherman?!
~~ Here's a separator for new pages! Old lies below. ~~
Ah...the incredibly simple prologue. I hadn't intended to create something intricate to open with - I hadn't even planned a cover - but I could have. I drew them all with simplicity in mind, but things will get more complex in time. You'll have to trust that.
The prologue covers the hero and heroine's departure from their village and a few extra and slightly random fun things. I'd once considered redoing it, but for my current purposes...I wouldn't change it at all.
Filler #001 ~ May 15th, 2004
This is my first filler page! :D I made it primarily for the big hiatus/reformation I was about to do. Or something. I was very tempted to ink it but decided against it. Laziness? Probably.
Anyway! Ronou decided 3 years from the start of the story that he'd grow his hair out. As you can see, he was once very normal-looking. Of course, you always have to endure something in order to gain something.
Page 0008 ~ May 12th, 2004
The last hand-inked page before I got a new tablet. Also the last totally chibi-styled page. I really had fun with it. Behold, I copy RPGs! And I used dramatic shading in panel 2, omg. Such a battle, right?
Page 0007 ~ May 10th, 2004
We have a bit of backstory here. As you can see, Ronou was traumatized in his past while training against giant stuffed Podder dummies.
Page 0006 ~ May 8th, 2004
A random monster attack! I don't have much to say about this or the ones after it, really.
Page 0005 ~ February 13th, 2004
These pages were sort of filled in the viewer and showed how much Ronou and Mune learned. In truth, it runs much deeper than that, but no one knows that yet. ^_~
There are notable the first pages that I added fonts to with Photoshop. Paint Shop Pro makes antialiased fonts look horrible unless they're large.
About the bonus, well... self-explanitory, hehehe.
EDIT: I redid all the older pages in Photoshop with (primarily) that Letter-o-Matic! font, so. Also, I re-scripted this page so it would be a bit more informative, and also to fit the characters more. It feels more set-up, but it turned out that way in the first place, so uh... Well, it works for my purposes anyway. Too much exposition? Too early? PAH!
Page 0004 ~ January 28th, 2004
The hero and his companion set off! Watch, as I switch fonts!
In retrospect, I could have done this a lot better. I remember having done this with my old horrible tablet and my hand was killing me by the time I was nearing completion, which is why the fence looks horrid.
EDIT: Changed fonts to be uniform with more current (Arc 1 at the time) fonts, as I've found none of be better than Letter-o-Matic!.
Page 0003 ~ January 19th, 2004
The fourth (#003! Started at #000!) and last page ever to be done completely in my crappy calligraphy pen. Surprise! Mune's going too!
In retrospect, I'd change this a little if I could...Perhaps she wasn't originally allowed to go because she would get hurt too easily? She is but a simple healing mage, after all. But all the more reason to take her along!
Page 0002 ~ January 15, 2004
Ronou knows his objectives...now you do, too. Drawing the last panel was hard. Mune was originally going to be running from front-view, but...eh.
I edited the text in this a few times to fit a few changes. () I still think the jewel names are stupid, but...the people of Seldra named them, not me. :B You'll see their names are generally really simple. Like, REALLY.
Page 0001 ~ January 11th, 2004
Ronou looks like a duck when he screams. :O
I could have done many things better in retrospect, but I have a place in my heart for this page... By the way, that statue is of Leo III (see the World section, Myths and Legends).
Fun fact: This is also inked in an odd color originally--purple, because I also ran out of brown. Whee!
EDIT: I made the "blah" speech even longer. Hehehe.
Cover 00 ~ ???
I did this waaay after I finished the Prologue, because I wasn't going to do covers originally. But I should, so I decided to. This comic doesn't have "books" or "chapters", but rather Arcs, kind of like anime, so covers to these arcs will be few and far between. For future reference, all covers will also be monochromatic.
...Anyway, looks like all of Ronou's 16th birthday presents are supplies for the journey. Aww.
Page 0000 ~ Navember 3rd, 2003
The first page, which had no follow-up for two months! :D; Ronou totally pwns a piņata at his 16th birthday party. Too bad he wasn't blindfolded. But it's his party, so he can do whatever he wants!
Fun fact: This is inked in brown originally, because I had no black ink cartridges for my calligraphy pen. omgz.
