Seldra

Set amidst the blackened waters of the great ocean Osha, this slice of Haven has attracted cultures from all across the globe to settle amongst its diverse environments. It is said that the Spirits nestled into its deepest reaches nearly a thousand years ago in search of respite from the Senshuu. Many races came to this island-continent in search of the source of magic and remained, comfortable in the rich habitats and varied geography of this still-young land.

Travel to and from Seldra has been hindered in recent years due to the blackened, monster-infested waters that have grown completely surrounding it. Nearly two generations of people have been completely isolated on this land.

When traveling throughout Seldra, one might stumble upon...

Great Plains (Tan Side) | Fukai | The Tornado Mountains | Neski | The Koko Islands | Great Plains (Green Side)

The Great Plains
Tan Side

Called the "Tan Side" of the Great Plains because of its scorched plain on which the Earth gem resides.

Clayden A small, simple, boring village where age accumulates. Ronou and Mune were raised here. All the houses are made from the earth - dome-shaped clay of many shades and moods, sometimes built into the hills themselves, all situated around a central meeting area. Gardening is a beheld skill, and green, flower-topped roofs are everywhere, so that from a distance it merely looks like a pretty, hilly area in the summertime. There are several large halls where people would group, farms, a tavern, an infimary, and a small schoolhouse/library. The most exciting thing that's happened there in years is Ronou's departure to find the Elemental Gems - the village people were greatly influenced by Ronou's energy.

Fox Forest A tiny, thin little forest on the outskirts of Clayden. Most of the "spooks" the village encounter originate there, or are said to. Whenever on ventures in, one usually never sees anything more than a fox. Still, children are forbidden to enter.

Desperta Desert The desert that runs along the base of the first three Tornado Mountains. Most of it is flat and harsh, but there are certain areas that run as dunes for miles. It is blazingly hot during the day and freezing cold at night. Sand worms and ant lions are known to plague the area, although the ant lions are usually of good repute.

Dalta Oasis An oasis slightly west of Dalta. It is abundant with trees of many varieties of fruits (including its famous limes, lemons, and paa-paa fruit), and it has a large, cold pool. Weary travelers or the lost often travel to it before they find the actual town.

Dalta A small desert town at the base of Chill Mountain and the Tornado Mountain range. It is inhabited by very few Humans, but Kaamen thrive there. Aside from having a large pub and abutting the oasis, the town itself is not a very good haven from the harsh desert. Adobe huts abound; houses made from gigantic shells of mollusks and nautiluses harken back to a time not long ago when the ocean was spread wider...

Fukai

A grand forest host to several ecosystems.

Fukai Forest A deep, thick forest, steeped in places with waterfalls, mushrooms, and bamboo. It is a very humid place where light barely shines through the trees. The continent's sole population of Boomen rests at its heart, with other areas controlled by the Red-Crested Boas. Trees around the central village have been modified into houses and advanced Booman transportation systems, and the whole place is pretty complex and hard to navigate for outsiders, full and alive with vegetation.

Woodfall Village The village of Boomen that takes up about 1/2 of Fukai Forest. It contains the aforementioned complex living systems, including literal tree-houses, many tree-stairs and ladders, and lights powered by fireflies or Cho Ikii. Despite its complexity, it is quite beautiful.

The Tornado Mountains

A group of four mountains connected by three great bridges. Individually, they are named (from west to east) Chill, Jewl, Crystal, and Windy (or, alternatively, Frie, Jewl, Chrysalis, and Zephyr).

Chill Mountain (Mt. Frie) The shortest mountain, it hosts many calm, glistening mountain lakes.

Jewl Mountain Known for having many snow storms, but also for being beautiful. Dinosaurs often traverse its gaps and valleys. Frio rests on one of its lower peaks.

Frio The only town on the entire mountain range. Despite how cold and remote it is, it's actually larger than both Greenview and Clayden combined. The only way it communicates with the rest of the isle-continent is through messenger birds, but it retains a lot of historical knowledge due to its library, the Grand Library of Frio. The largest library on the continent, all knowledge on the continent eventually ends up there. Among themselves, its denizens get along quite fine, with a sort of universal brotherhood. It is a beautiful, serene, snowy town, speckled with traditional houses and tiered igloo apartments.

Crystal Mountain (Mt. Chrysalis) A beautiful, tall mountain completely encased in ice due to its host ice wolves and various ice dragons. Very dangerous to traverse. You'd have to be crazy.

Windy Mountain (Mt. Zephyr) A dangerously windy mountain due to the wind dragons that reside there. On it rests a single edifice, the Zephyr Temple.

Zephyr Temple A temple constructed by Dragons and Chokara long ago in honor of the great Spirit of Wind, Sefir. After a time, people stopped making efforts to visit it, and it lay untouched for centuries. It tilted on its side at the dawn of the year 2000, so things are pretty much in disarray inside. The Zephyr Ring is contained within.

The Neski Region

A region mostly dominated by elitist Bremen, where no one dares disturb the land's mysteries. A few areas lie within its reach but are not yet formally a part of it.

Talon's Point A strange hill north of Greenview. It has strange, unexplained protrustions coming from it and looks almost as if it has suffered frequent earthquakes...

Neski Settlement A settlement of Bremen. Not much is known of it, since the Bremen tend to ward outsiders away. Too bad, since their lofty dwellings are so nice to look at.

Greenview Village A boring village a little bigger than Clayden, and one of the only places visited often by the nearby village. It's good for adventuring supplies, at least. If anything, there are more Canan and Fenin in this town. A downside - there are a noticeable more poor people as well. There is a small concentration of Fire and Wind Mages there willing to create a guild.

Givway Moon Cliff A large cliff not far from Greenview and east of Clayden. It has many tall, irridescent, crescent-shaped protrusions jutting from it, as if meteors had fallen and gotten stuck there. From there, it is easy to watch the stars and the bright nightly migration of certain types of animals.

Botund Bog At the base of the cliff is this mysterious bog - what used to be a forest degenerated into a miserable, gooshy mess. Still, some make a living there.

The Koko Islands

Three small islands a little southeast of Seldra. Because of the cold and violent waters, no one ever travels there. The Aqua Pearl is rumored to lie there.

Heart Island An island shaped like a heart. It possesses a thick tropical rainforest where it is said that an ancient tribe lives, virtually untouched by today's world.

Azki Island A bean-shaped island made completely of slate rock. Nothing lives there.

Nektir Island A completely dirt island surrounded by rock spires. Nothing inhabits it, although it seems to have been used for ritual at some point.

The Great Plains
Green Side

A wide expanse of rolling plains encapsulates a great city.

Sagra Port The abandoned port town on the eastern end of Seldra where lone boats, untouched for years due to the black waters, lay in wait for somebody to use.

Gran The largest town in all of Seldra, built into the lows of the second mountain range. It's very active, especially at night, a phenomenon which people from the smaller villages wouldn't be used to. It's always bustling, its uptown is extravagant with huge buildings, carriages, and people of wealth. Downtown, it is somewhat less active and more like a normal town. It has a large population of Bremen and a few Drakken. It has many yearly events and is planning on throwing a Millennial Fair, of sorts, ignoring the impending danger of the Senshuu.

The Volcanic Mines An area northeast of Gran. A long time ago, people dug into an area northeast of Gran because of the rich amount of sapphires, emeralds, and rubies found there. However, they dug so deep that they eventually hit lava, and needless to say, no one goes down there anymore. A ruby called Rah's Jewel is rumored to be down there, however.

Temple of Rah A fire temple long abandoned now hosts a secret network of people whose base is well-hidden within an obscure forest. Not much is known about the DragonFly Syndicate, especially whether or not their intentions are good, but it is ignored by the general public as long as it is silent.
